THE FOUR ANIMAL HELPERS IN THE FENG SHUI (Part III)
It is
in the name. They are guardians and protectors. However, each one of them has a
particular role and its own characteristics that must be understood so that the
benefits that they all have to offer can be properly enjoyed. Otherwise, the
“good” can become the “bad”. So let’s learn some important details about the Four Celestial Animals in Feng Shui. What
is beneficial and what is not, how to benefit and what to avoid from them.
The
primary function of the three protectors or landforms Green Dragon (left), White
Tiger (right) and Black Tortoise
(back) is to offer protection. Acting as an “embrace” around a property, they
shield it from potentially destructive Qi.
The occupants of a property that is built on top of any of those features will
be exposed to all adverse effects of such incoming energy. Therefore, it is
recommended to neither build or to live in a property with such a scenario.
Trees
and bushes, if are not too close to a property, are excellent elements of
protection. So, a building that is on a slope where there is no vegetation is
not advisable, as it lacks protection. The same applies to a house atop a cliff
or a bare mountain. The effects are similar for top floors of a tall building
that has no other buildings of at least the same height immediately surrounding
it. It is easy to understand that whatever that is sitting on a high, open
area, is subject to the constant blow of aggressive winds. There is always a
feeling of vulnerability and of being a target or at the mercy of something. In
Feng Shui, this is not just a feeling but represents a fact, since aggressive
winds are considered destructive energy, or Sha
Qi, which as it was mentioned before, translated means “Killing Qi”. So if you love the idea of living on
the highest floors of a building, make sure that it is not the tallest one in
the area.
